WORK PACKAGES
WP1: Project Management
Coordinates all project activities, ensures financial management, oversees communication between partners, and handles reporting requirements throughout the 36-month duration.
WP2: Development of Teaching and Training Materials
Creates four comprehensive learning modules covering: (1) physical activity policy fundamentals, (2) public policies to promote physical activity, (3) political structures for PA promotion, and (4) monitoring and evaluation of public policies. Led by University of Limerick, this work package culminates in a validation workshop in Ireland.
WP3: Institutional Piloting and Evaluation
Tests the four modules across all six partner universities with students from diverse academic backgrounds including education, health, sport, engineering, transport, business, and media. Led by Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, this phase evaluates student outcomes and implementation methods to refine the program.
WP4: Cross-Institutional European PA Policy Summer School
Organizes a 10-day intensive summer school in Poland for 90 students from partner institutions and beyond, providing hands-on training in physical activity policy analysis and development. Gdansk University of Technology leads the academic design, student mobility preparation, and on-location implementation.
WP5: Sustainability and Impact
Ensures long-term project impact through strategic planning, consortium-wide communication, development of a 150-page open-access handbook on PA policies, local dissemination events at each partner institution, and a final European conference in Germany.
